Your pet says a lot about who you are. It may even be possible to predict your sign through the pet you own. I found this from one of the Chinese website and I think it’s quite interesting so here I share with you. Let’s see what astrology has to say about the type of breed that can become good companion that works best for you.
Aries (March 21 - April 19)
Adventurous and Energetic, Pioneering and Courageous, Enthusiastic and Confident, Dynamic and Quick-Witted. Beagle (Snoopy!) and Cocker Spaniel who are energetic and always on the go, should be a very good companion for Aries.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)
Patient and Reliable, Warmhearted and Loving, Persistent and Determined, Placed and Security Loving. Papillon who is very obedient and Pug who is very people-oriented and full of love suits a Taurus well!!

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)
Adaptable and Versatile, Communicative and Witty, Intellectual and Eloquent, Youthful and Lively. Such a personality goes well with Poodle who is intelligent and fast to learn to owner’s facial expression; Schnauzer who is easy to trained, obedient and loyalty to owner is also very attractive to a Gemini.

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)
Emotional and Loving, Intuitive and Imaginative, Shrewd and Cautious, Protective and Sympathetic. Cancerian can build relationship well with Pekingese who like to be pampered and sometimes rely quite a lot to his owner. Basset Hound (Hush Puppy!) who is gentle and seems to have a little sad face also not a bad choice for Cancer.

Leo (July 23 - August 22)
Generous and Warmhearted, Creative and Enthusiastic, Broad-Minded and Expansive, Faithful and Loving. This can go well with elegant and noble feel of a Shih-Tzu or and Old English Sheep Dog, who is loving, faithful but sometimes tend to anticipate commands and do it their own way if they think their way is better, sounds like a lion….

Virgo (August 23 - September 22)
Modest and Shy, Meticulous and Reliable, Practical and Diligent, Intelligent and Analytical. This sign comes to match with a Maltese who is very lively, intelligent and besides it has luxurious silky white coat outlook, perfect for the show! Well, Pomeranian who is willful, bold and temperamental also compatible with the Virgo.

Libra (September 23 - October 22)
Determined and Forceful, Emotional and Intuitive, Powerful and Passionate, Exciting and Magnetic. Siberian Husky who is cheerful, playful and sometime mischievous, is very fond of his or her family, can be very compatible with a Libra. Yorkshire Terrier, who is little yet highly energetic, eager for adventure and trouble, also can please the Libra well.

Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)
Diplomatic and Urbane, Romantic and Charming, Easygoing and Sociable, Idealistic and Peaceable. Chow Chow is described as willful, serious, protective and independent, is something Scorpio like about. Akita (a type of Japanese Spit) is described as careful, intelligent and courageous can please a Scorpio as well.

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)
Optimistic and Freedom-loving, Jovial and Good-humored, Honest and Straightforward, Intellectual and Philosophical. Sagittarius’ loving and affectionate yet vulnerable character is quite similar to Chihuahua. Chihuahua are strong-willed, intensely loyal and attached to the owner, sometimes bold and saucy. Another breed is Shar-Pei, who is easy-going, calm, devoted and brave.

Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)
Practical and Prudent, Ambitious and Disciplined, Patient and Careful, Humorous and Reserved. Bullmastiff, a devoted and alert guard dog with good natured temperament can be compatible with Capricorn.

Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)
Friendly and Humanitarian, Honest and Loyal, Original and Inventive, Independent and Intellectual. German Shepherd who is obedient and loyal can please them well, Boxer who is high in spirit, playful and curious dog also compatible with Aquarius.

Pisces (February 19 - March 20)
Imaginative and Sensitive, Compassionate and Kind, Selfless and Unworldly, Intuitive and Sympathetic. Collie who is highly intelligent, sweet, sensitive, kind, loyal and easy to train can please Pisces very well. Japanese Shiba Inu, which is described as kind, brave, clean, affectionate, courageous and confident suits Pisces well too.

It took me 2 days to compile the above information. I feel happy to learn a few of the new breed and understand each of their characteristic, I hope you too can enjoy it.

Didn’t uploaded any blog yesterday as I was suffering from a neck pain. Today I’m back fully energetic!
Today, I’m going to share a little with you about one of my favorite breed - Miniature Schnauzer! Yheww…., two patch of mustache and a messy face? Yah… that’s the charm of this little lovely creature.
Well, actually what I like about them is their personality. The typical Miniature Schnauzer’s temperament, as described in the standard, is alert, spirited yet obedient, friendly and intelligent with willingness to please his owner. He will be a loyal companion and is ready to be your best friend!
Here are some history about this breed….
The earliest records surrounding development of the Miniature Schnauzer in Germany come from the late 1800s. They were originally bred to be farm dogs in Germany, to keep the rats and other vermin out of the barn. In the breed’s earliest stages, several small breeds were employed in crosses to bring down the size of the well-established Standard Schnauzer, with the goal of creating a duplicate in miniature.

Miniature Puppy Schnauzer
With their bold courage, the Miniature Schnauzer was originally used for guarding herds, small farms, and families. As time passed, they were also used to hunt rats, because they appeared to have a knack for it, and its small size was perfect to get into tight places to catch them.

Sometimes we get angry with our dog for destroying our favorite furniture, for not “pottying” at the right place or misbehave to scared our neighbor away.
First, perhaps, we need to understand the mentality of a dog.
It is not unreasonable to believe that animals within their kind communicate somewhat to one another. But how do we communicate with our dog when we are using different languages.
The eye, the mouth, the voice, the bearing of the body and the tail are the means of communication used by the dog.
The voice of the dog has a dozen inflections. The master can tell by the bark or whine of his dog whether the sound is joy or pain, pleading or fighting, fear or play. No other animal has as many changes of tones of vocal expression; and no other animal desires so anxiously to talk as does the dog. All the physical necessities such as larynx, vocal chord and tongue are possessed by the dog, but the one thing lacking is modulation of the sounds into words. These vocal variations would not be possible without a vocal center in the brain.
The dog is a strongly social animal: he likes to be with his own kind and with his master and master’s family. This strong desire has helped to develop his ability to communicate his thoughts.
It’s interesting to learn that actually dog sometimes wanted to learn to talk to us. Yet it’s a pity they can’t, or if they would, we will all be freak-out to find out a talking dog in our house?
Three of the five puppies can be at understood to say, ‘Ha-wo’ for hello and ‘Ah wan m-more’ and they are just three months old. They offer a paw, saying ‘hello. Isn’t that amazing?

Have you ever wonder why certain dogs of the same breed, but some look really gorgeous, and some look…. completely drained and sickly? Dog owners play a big part in this. Your dog cant’ bath by himself, you need to comb, clean, trim and groom him. There are quite a number of parts need to be taken care of, but I will share with you one by one later in my blog.
Heard of dog’s tear stains? Have you seen certain dogs, they have 2 lines (brownish color) in between their face and below their eyes? The actual staining is caused by excess tearing and bacteria or red yeast growth that thrive in the warm moist environment, giving the hair that reddish-brown stain and musty smell. These are most often found on animals with light-colored fur as this makes them more visible. So far I see it happens quite commonly on Maltese, Shi-Tzu and ligh-coloured Poodles. So what is the solution for dog tears?
There are many commercial products out there in the market which is quite good in treating the problem. However if you would want some home remedies, using mixtures of milk of magnesia, corn starch and peroxide, or bleach (usually hydrogen peroxide) used for human hair. However, if you were not to mix these properly, use precisely the right strength of each ingredient, and apply them safely, you could potentially harm your dog. So if you are worried, look for over-the-counter products, it’s not really expensive, about $30 which can last for about 2-3 months.
So if you want your pets to look good, be prepared to get ready the “make-up” item for them too!!

I’ve learn something new and interesting this morning and would like to share with you all. I’ve been down for quite a long period of time and under an “unrecoverable” depression. I started to try to heal myself by reading more self-motivation books recently. I came across this new things which I haven’t realized before. It’s called “Dog Awareness” and it’s written by Andrew Matthews in his book titled “Follow Your Heart”.
Many times in real life, we are too busy and too stressful to live in the present. We spent time regretting the past, or worrying about the future. Most of us find it really hard to live in the present because we let our mind controlling our emotion and our behavior. Maybe we didn’t realized that but your mind will control you if you don’t take the lead to control it back. So we need to learn to practice mindfulness in order to live a fuller and happier life.
Here is what Dog Awareness about. Take your dog for a walk, you will realize something. Dogs don’t give chance to let anything to pass by, what i mean was it feel so excited and treat everything as new to it. It will stop and smell on every bush, every flower and weed and every fire hydrant. You will notice that the same thing happened if you take the same pooch on the same walk as many as you like. This is because, dogs live in the present.
We human being, maybe we were born too intelligent and like to do things multi task. It safe up time, yes, and you feel more efficient cause you can finish a task faster. It’s unavoidable in certain working environment of course. But when we have a choice, take things slowly and do one thing at a time. You will feel much more relax and you will be surprise the results might be better. When you feel really stressed up and worried, try appreciate everything that you have first. Try eating a meal and tasting every mouthful. Talk to a friend and hear every word, listen to a song and hear every note, eventually you will feel life is much more than rushing for a train, running for the next appointment and get so frustrated when stuck in the jam.
Slow down your steps, stop by and smell the flowers and see how and why other people rushing while you are practicing your “Dog Awareness” :), at one corner, drinking your favorite coffee. On your favorite music or tune into your favorite channel the next time if you are stuck in the jam.
Last but not least, always remind yourself: “I have plenty of time.” Repeat it over and over until it stuck into your head. Hopefully we can practice it together and feel happier in our life!

“My husband and I adopted Jack (a one year old male Pug/Chihuahua mix) three months ago from a shelter (we are his third home in a year) and to put it mildly he was 20 pounds of terror– dominate, nipping, chewing and also had separation anxiety issues. He quickly earned the name ‘Jack The Nipper’.
I read a couple of books about dogs behaving badly, but felt that I needed a step-by-step approach to correct Jack’s unpleasant behavior. I researched the internet and came across SitStayFetch, which I quickly downloaded, printed and read in one evening.I immediately started with the Alpha Dog lessons and got across to Jack that I am the Alpha Mommy.
I had no idea that doing something as simple as making him sit before I put his bowl of food down would make a difference in how Jack viewed me.
Jack has made great progress. He has become confident, less anxious and likes to practice commands every day. We still need to work on a few areas, but it’s only been less than three months! Jack is much happier knowing that we are the pack leaders who protect, feed and love him.
I recommend SitStayFetch to everyone who has a dog as a companion. I have learned so much about dog behaviors and how to respond accordingly without yelling or intimidating. Thanks Dan for writing such a great learning tool!”

Hi! I’m Rachel. This is the first time I have my own blog. I hope this can bring me something new cause it’s the first time I can post my own blog, comments and opinions out to the world. I’ll update my blog as much as I can.
I am a dog lover, are you? I still remember when I was 6 years old, I used to fear dogs. I was chased by 1 of my neighbor’s dog, a German Shepherd, very big and fierce. I run home and cried as loud as I can. Only after that I know that I shouldn’t run when you see a dog, cause they thought you are a bad guy or either you are playing with them.
Few years later, my elder sister brought back mixed-breed dog home, as guardian dog to our old coffee shop. From there on, I started to develop a close bond with dogs, and I do not afraid of them anymore. I learn that they can be my very best friend, they listen to you when you are sad, they are a very good listener and I can feel that they understand our feelings. Maybe that is why some people said dogs are man’s best companion.
