I have been trying to find out the answer for this.
Some people said that bones are natural, contains protein and minerals which are good for the health of dog, and the chewing of bone can help to clean the dog’s teeth and more benefits.
However, we also worry that the bones may splinter and hurt the throat and digestion system of a dog.
In the wild, wolf and wild dogs used to eat raw meat with bones. We might thought that our dog should be feed with bones as well.
One thing we need to understand is that, the pet we keep at home is a domesticated dog. They don’t necessary to be feed like wild dogs.
Wild Dogs/Coyote:
They need the nutrition from the meat with bones because they live in the wild and do not have dog food.
They may have less risk of bones damage their intestinal tract because wild dogs/wolf will eat the whole animal including the fur, meat and other organs. The digestive tract wraps the bone fragments in hair thus providing some protection.
If you feel that you like to feed your dog with bones, maybe you need to study more about a few things. The decision of which bones are safe depends on the dog’s chewing behavior and the type of bone. In common, dog’s chewing behavior can range between “chewer” and “gulper”.
The dogs that are chewer, will patiently grind a bone to very small whereas for gulpers, they just swallow a big chunks of bones which is quiet dangerous .
Some disadvantage of dog eating bones:
1. Bones may choke dogs like splinter and hurt the digestion tract.
2. Too much protein, calcium or phosphorous that might cause a nutritional imbalance in dog’s diet.
3. It may fracture the dog’s teeth.
If you are worry that your dog is not getting enough nutrition, read the dog food label and consult your vet on which dog food is best for the growth of your dog. Some good choices of dog food I have tried out, you may want to visit their website. Or you can get recipe to make dog bones.
If you want to fulfill your dog’s “desire to chew”, consider the large selection of dog chewing toys here. You can find really nice and effective toy for your dog. From rawhide bones, hard rubber bones, rope toys and string toys, they are all preferable to real bones.

Regular grooming to your dog is the basic thing every owner should learn. It will make your dog look great and happy.
Here are some simple but useful tips. I summarize it into point form so its easier to remember.
1. Every dog should be groomed once a week.
2. Basic equipment: dog brush, nail clippers, cotton swabs, dog shampoo.
3. While grooming, check the overall condition of your dog’s skin, eyes, ears, coat and teeth.
4. Make the grooming session as pleasant and enjoyable for you and your pet as possible.
5. Brush the coat before bathing your pup. Brushing will eliminates mats, tangles, removes dead hair and dirt. Brushing also distributes the natural oils that helps to produce healthy skin tone.
6. After brushing, check your dogs ears. Flop-eared dogs can be prone to ear infections so you’ll want to check your long-eared dog often. A simple ear cleaning solution can be made with one part white vinegar to one part water. Dip a cotton ball or swab in the mixture and wipe out your dogs ears. Use a separate swab for each ear to avoid cross contamination should she have an ear infection.
7. Nails should be clipped on a regular basis. Overly long nails will hurt your pet’s paw. Cut till the nails are short enough when your dog can stand squarely on her pads with the nails bearing none of her weight.
8. Brushing your dog’s teeth promotes healthy teeth and gums. You can make a natural toothpaste with baking soda and water. Wrap your finger in some gauze and dip it in the baking soda paste to gently clean your dog’s teeth. If your dog has a lot of tarter and plaque build-up, consider getting her teeth professionally cleaned before embarking on your own daily tooth cleaning routine.
9. Try to choose the natural dog shampoo. Don’t use human shampoo on your dog because the pH of her skin is very different.

The Kings’ and Queens’ Dogs………

Queen Elizabeth 11 (1952 – Present)
Queen Elizabeth is perhaps the most well known dog lover of the Royal Family. According to the K9 Magazine, she currently has ten dogs. Name Emma, Linnet, Holly and Willow, which are Corgis. She also has three Dorgis (Daschund x Corgi) by the names of Brandy, Cider and Berry.
It is said that the Queen also looks after the Corgis of the late Queen Mother, name Rush, Minnie and Monty. Queen Elizabeth has owned over 30 Corgis and the first being Susan, who was given as a present on her 18th birthday by her father, King George IV.

Queen Victoria (1837-1901)
Queen Victoria is responsible for one of the most popular toy breeds that we know today. After inheriting some of the Royal dogs that were doted on by the wife of her predecessor to the throne, Queen Charlotte, Victoria kept the dogs as pets around her home.
Upon the death of her husband Prince Albert in 1861, she turned much of her attention to tending to these dogs.
Unhappy with their size, the Queen bred the dogs with smaller breeds to begin the breed we know today as the Pomeranian.

There can be 2 main cause of why a dog can loss his appetite. First, it maybe he is sick, which the best solution is to consult a vet. However, another reason could be, he is simply being spoils too much and became picky about food.
A dog may become picky about food when you feed him too much table food or getting too many dog treats. Apparently, these food taste better than pet food, encouraging them to wait for a better offer before settling for kibble.
Some Solutions & Tips To Share:
1. Try figure out what the pet likes to eat—try different types of food, different textures and flavors.
2. Put out the food and leave your pet alone. Some owner like to hover over their pet as they eat, this will add pressure to them. Decrease the focus and pressure for the pet while they try to eat.
3. Get your pet on a feeding schedule—don’t leave food out for it to eat at will.
4. Two meals a day suffice for both large and small dogs, give the animal a measured amount of food it can eat in 10 to 20 minutes. If the animal doesn’t eat after the set time period, pick the food up and put it away.
5. If food switch is needed, let the transition take place over a week or so, gradually blending the foods in together as you switch, to avoid making your pet sick. As with people, if you suddenly switch food on a pet, it could develop an upset stomach or diarrhea.

Are you happy with your life? Do you encounter situation whereby you are too stress out, feeling grumpy and just wanted to explode? Sometimes life can be cruel and unfair and I believed that everyone has their own dwell from time to time……
God has created many things in this world, perhaps sometimes we need to learn from someone which we never thought of before.
Man’s best friend may lead a simple life of food, sleep, shelter, and the occasional frolic, but if you’ve ever noticed, your dog is almost always happy. Try give him a little attention and he will be as happy as never before. No matter it’s a big meal or small treat, they will feel so great and enthusiast. Anything and everything you do (of course, with the exception of scolding and hitting) brings great joy to your dog.
It also seems a bit unfair. Here you are, worrying about life and it’s many problems while your dog is sitting right by your side, enjoying life to its fullest.
People try to teach their dogs to sit, lie down, play dead, speak, and stay, but it may be wise to turn the tables (because dogs don’t know how). Learn a thing or two from your dog. The lessons your dog can teach you may bring you peace of mind and newfound joy to your life.
The Lessons
- Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.
- Allow the experience of fresh air and wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.
- When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
- Spend as much time as possible with the ones you love.
- When it’s in your best interest, practice obedience.
- Let others know when they’ve invaded your territory.
- Take naps and stretch before rising.
- Run, romp, and play daily.
- Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you’ve had enough.
- Be loyal.
- Never pretend to be something you’re not.
- If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
- When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle him or her gently.
- Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
- Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
- On warm days, stop to lie on your back in the grass.
- On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.
- When you’re happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
- No matter how often you’re scolded, don’t buy into guilt and pout…run right back and make friends.
- Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
